1. Eastern Peripheral Expressway total expenditure is 11,000 crores
and it was completed in record time of 500 days, the initial target was 900 days.
2. This expressway is 135 Km long and PM Modi laid its foundation on 17th November 2015
3. This expressway starts from Kundli and ends in Plawal both are in Haryana. It also goes across Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Bagpat and Sonipat.
4. The advantage of this highway is if you used to go by this route earlier it would take 45 min but after the construction of this highway, it takes only 8 min.
5. This Highway would also help in reducing Traffic Jam in Delhi and Pollution level may drop up to 27%.
6. In this highway, High Tech is used. like intelligent Highway traffic management system (IHTMS) and video incident detection system (VIDS).
7. Another advantage of this Highway is it is equipped with Pay As You Go System meaning You will have to pay only that much amount that you have travelled on it.
8. This expressway is Eco-Friendly because it is Solar Powered with 8 Solar Plant with a total capacity of 4000 Kilowatt, it also has the Rain Water Harvesting system at every 500 meters too and also 2.5 Lakh Plants are also Planted which will be irrigated using water dripping.
9. This highway also has miniature 36 National Monuments.
10. It was inaugurated on 27 May 2018 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This highway is unique in its own class.
